On September 16, 2025, Sincode Group, in collaboration with WAGAS, held a formal meeting with the Minister of Housing and Urban Development of Cameroon. Three high-level meetings took place in a single day, comprehensively advancing the development of the new city.

That same day, Ms. Célestine Ketcha Courtès, Minister of Housing and Urban Development of Cameroon, and Mr. Lei Xin, President of Sincode Group, signed a cooperation agreement in Yaoundé. The partners set an ambitious goal: to construct 1.5 million housing units in Cameroon by 2035. This collaboration represents a significant strategic move for Sincode Group in the African market and forms an important part of Cameroon’s national development plan. In recent years, Cameroon has continued to increase investment in infrastructure construction, identifying housing development as a key priority for national progress.

In the afternoon, Sincode Group met with the National Bank of Cameroon to explore cooperation opportunities and financing support for smart city initiatives. The Group presented a detailed overview of its development history, technical expertise, and successful global experience in implementing smart city solutions, expressing strong interest in actively participating in the modernization and digital transformation of Yaoundé and other major cities in Cameroon. Representatives of the National Bank of Cameroon acknowledged Sincode Group’s technical strength and international track record, showing keen interest in the potential positive impact of smart city projects on the country. The Bank emphasized that supporting critical national infrastructure and modernization is among its strategic priorities and remains open to financing such projects.

In the evening, the Sincode Group and WAGAS delegation visited the Presidential Palace of Cameroon and held an important meeting with the Director of the Presidential Office. Both sides engaged in in-depth and constructive discussions regarding Sincode Group’s participation in new urban development projects in Cameroon. This meeting marked a new phase of substantive progress for the initiative, highlighting Sincode Group’s strong capabilities in large-scale overseas infrastructure and integrated urban development, as well as the Cameroonian government’s open and proactive approach to attracting foreign investment and advancing national modernization. Both parties expressed strong confidence in future cooperation and look forward to realizing this major project together, creating a model modern city that will drive economic growth and urban upgrading in Cameroon.
